John Lee is a proud product of Trizzino Tennis Academy and a current member of the Christopher Newport University men’s tennis team, where he is studying business. John trained at TTA throughout his entire high school career, developing both his game and his deep appreciation for the long-term development process.
Known for his infectious energy and positive attitude, John brings enthusiasm and leadership to every court he steps on. He is passionate about helping others grow, embracing challenges, and creating an environment where athletes feel motivated and supported.
A standout high school player at Grafton High School, John earned a Virginia state doubles championship alongside fellow TTA coach Rainer Christiansen. Under the guidance of Chris Trizzino, John began training seriously during his sophomore year of high school as a 3 UTR and in just two years, elevated his level to nearly an 8 UTR. A clear achievement that reflects his work ethic, discipline, and commitment to improvement.
We are excited to welcome John back to the Academy as a coach following his freshman year of collegiate tennis. He looks forward to educating and inspiring young athletes, sharing firsthand insight into the process required to pursue and achieve challenging goals both on and off the court.
A note from Chris:
Having John on court as a coach coming off his freshman year of college is incredibly valuable for our current players. He now has a firsthand understanding of everything he trained for and why each part of the process was necessary to successfully transition to the college level. John brings an infectious level of energy to every session which confidently lets me
count on him to motivate our players to push through challenging moments and continue raising their standards.
